A light bronze pale ale. Full bodied, with plenty of hop flavours – Cara and Oat malts provide the foretaste, with Cluster and Northdown hops providing the refreshing bitterness.

Ingredients: Brecon water, Maris Otter Pale Ale malt, Cara malt, Amber malt, Malted Oats. Cluster, Northdown and Sovereign hops.

Cask (gravity) @ The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, mesk - mash, nutty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, earthy - nutty, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120502]

Cask at Reading Beer Festival 2012. Pours clear gold with a light, white foam head. Tangy straw in the aroma. Lightly sweet flavor with some grainy malts, dirty hay and light honey. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish with more grain, lightly peppery hops and hay. Fine.

On gravity at the Christmas Beer Festival, The Volunteer, Bristol 15/12/2012. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Light, apricot fruit and leafy hop aroma. Flavour had solid, bready malts, a lot more fruit and a decent bitter finish. Good.

Gravity dispense at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough BF - 12/10/12. Lightly hazed golden with a thin white head. Light malt and fruit on the nose and a little vegetal. Biscuit malt taste, light fruit notes, vegetable tones. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Distinctly average but not quite ’meh’ !

The aroma is spiced liquorice and it remains spicy in the palate, pleasant though.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready, nutty, some fruity and floral notes. Flavour is wooden, mildly nutty and caramelly with some fruity and floral hoppyness and mild nectar.
