Pours black with a tan head. The aroma is of roast malt, chocolate, and coffee. It tastes of roast malt, coffee, and a little soy sauce. Medium to full bodied. Very tasty.

Draft at the brewery. Pitch black pour with a tan head. Good lacing. Somewhat generic stout flavor. No real distinguishing characteristics. Just a stout.

On tap in a flight at the brewpub. Pours black, with a ruby tint and a small, beige ring. The aroma is instant coffee, green tea, sour milk, and dry grass. Sweet and syrupy, with a little bitterness. Light to medium body, with a syrupy, sticky mouthfeel. I was hopeful for this one, and it has some potential, but something has gone seriously wrong. Couldn’t finish the taster.
