Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of SpringsLicker. Pours a cloudy deep golden with a white head. Rich caramel and perfumy hops in the nose. Fairly solid body, rich caramel, a sweet maltiness and a little perfumy hops leading to a rather bitter finish. Actually a rather decent IPA. 150313

500ml bottle brought back from Asheville. Opaque, unfiltered deep orange brown. Big, fluffy off white head. A pretty straightforward Rye beer, quite refreshing and well executed. Caramel, rye, nutty amber malt backbone and a pretty steady hop balance. Sort of like a cleaner, more subdued Sierra Ruthless Rye. Smooth, thick malt character. Quite pleasant, an Asheville flashback beer for me.

Bomber from Charleston Beer Exchange. Pours amber with a large creamy beige head. Lots of hop aroma with an undertone of rough malt which likely is the rye. Med body. Foamy carb. Flavor has a lot of rough nutty rye and some earthy and floral hop. Maybe citrus too. There’s so much flavor here that it’s hard to sort things out. Puts a nice burn on the tongue.
