Bottled, from Systembolaget. Dark brown with small brown head. Aroma of salmiak and aniseed. Mid dry with slenderish body and clean mouthfeel. Grain, dark chocolate and aniseed, salted licorice. Long salty bitter finish.

On tap at Fermentoren. Black with a lasting tan head. Huge chocolate aroma with spice, coffee and dried fruit. Quite sweet dark chocolate flavour with roasted character and coffee. Sweet, full bodied and Christmasy.

En väldigt trevlig imperial stout. Smak och doft av både mörk och ljus choklad, kaffe, karamell rostade toner med aromer av vanilj, honung och laktris. Krämig, rund och len, välbalanserad med lagom sötma och en trevlig beska som avrundar det hela.

50cl bottle thanks to onkelgobber. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - coffee, some earthiness, chocolate Taste - milk chocolate as opposed to dark, a nice vanilla note in the background. Palate - medium to full bodied with a big creamy texture and a lovely elegant finish. Overall - very balanced.

Tap@Fermentoren - black pour with a good sized persistent brown head. Roasted/toasted malts, caramel, vanilla, nutty, choc some coffee. Pretty decent overall.

pitch dark, smooth huge brown head. Nutty and roasted malty, spicy , sweet christmas spicy aroma. flavor is roasted malts, sweet notes, faint charchoal, milky sweetness, quite malty bitter in the end, perhaps a little from spices. palate is impressively smooth and velvety.

Opaque dark brown beer, little bubbly tan head. Palate is dry with minerally carbonation. Rich coffee, dark but sweet. Slightly powdery. Dry finish. Nice coffee but it’s a pretty one dimensional beer.

Draught@CPH BF 2013. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, mild honey, toffee as well as some nice fruityness to it. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, toffee, mild honey as well as some bitter fruity and floral notes along with plum. Quite warming, thick and bodied.

Draft @ DØE Ølfestival 2013. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty spicy chocolate aroma. Roasted malty spicy chocolate flavor with hints of licorice. Has a roasted malty spicy chocolate finish.

Bottle 500ml.Dark black colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, ash. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, dark malt bitter, cacao, sweet chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130112]
