Cask, The Dispensary, Liverpool. Slightly hazy amber colour with a medium off white head. Quite a bit of lacing. Pretty restrained aroma, pale malt and some fragrant hop. Was expecting maybe a bit more hop in the flavour, but this had quite decent body for the strength with some fruitiness leading to a gently bitter finish. Certainly one of the better beers I’ve tasted around this mark. Decent effort..

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol, 14/04/09. Pale amber in colour with a slight white head. Muted aroma of sweet malts, apricots and a whiff of grassy hops. Flavour began with a touch of sweetness, before an enjoyable spicy hop kick which gave way nicely to a decent bitter finish. This had a lot of character for a 3.7% ABV beer. Good.
