PUG is an East Coast IPA brewed with the same hops used in PIG, a West Coast IPA made by our friends at Bellwoods Brewery. It is dry hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Cascade, and Citra Cryo. We taste notes of mango peel, pine, and grapefruit.

Can ordered from Left Field Beer. Hazy opaque orange. Foamy translucent white head. Has canned fruit syrup sweetness with a dry citrusy edge. Porridge in the mix. Flavourwise it's orangey. Sweet with some tart sourness. Slightly resinous and spice. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Lively soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable chewy Hazy.

473ml can. Murky golden, thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, earthy pine. Taste of mango, grapefruit, piney and pithy citrusy bite in the finish. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation.
Decent... don't really get everyone saying this is harsh and chalky, ok maybe a hint of chalkiness but not enough to warrant a complaint from me.

Opaque and looks like pear juice. Thin head. Definitely harsh and chalky, with low bitterness and the malts are just thin.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy, maybe murky, blond colour. The aroma is very nice, tropical upfront, then a bit dank. The mouthfeel is bone dry; maybe this may please a few, but this style really benefits from residual sugars, for balance, and they are missing; so, it's quite harsh, starchy, astringent; the hops are more resinous and piney than juicy, the bitterness is highlighted by the astringency. It feels like something that, with just a little twist, could be great, bit it's currently not.

Poured from the tap. Cloudy yellow with small white head. Nice citrus hops, a touch of tropical, and the typical Superflux chalk we’re all used to by now. Okay (but not for McBerko).
