33 cl bottle from Systembolaget. BB Feb 13, sampled on Oct 3, 2012Clear copper to brown color; big, fluffy, lating off-white to yellow head. Sweet, malty, grain, slight bit roasted scent, also caramel. Malty, bitter, grainy, bread, grains, English malt style, a touch of butter and alcohol taste. Dry bitter finish with minerals. Sort of weak mouthfeel, feels like it lacks some co2. Medium high dry bitterness. There’s a sort of harsh astringent type bitterness in there as well.

Beautiful color, dark amber with dark red shades; small head. Mild aroma of malt and cereals, hints of caramel, subtle. Good caramel flavor, but basic, with bold bitterness, a bit above the common German examples.
Balanced, but not impressive.
