An Howl is a strong golden ale with unique orange, melon and citrus hop notes and a great mellowing malt flavour. Recognised by gold awards at SIBA SW Beer Competition and Taste of the West Awards, "An Howl" is Cornish for "the sun."

Cask@GBBF2012. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, herbal and mild resiny notes along with some floral notes. Flavour is wooden, caramelly, floral and a bit grassy as well. Floral and grassy bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at Chrisoโs Easter tasting 2012. It pours golden yellow, with a decent white head. The nose is floral, citrus, straw and chalk. The taste is citrus pith, grass, leaf, floral, very dry, straw and sherbet, with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. So-so.
