Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
Dark brown. Just a thin head. Aroma is of things that aren't going well together - a strong butter rum note, and a sweet candy chocolate thing. That's a lot more sugar...there could be balance here but on the nose, no there is not. Medium body, and right off the bat I get a big hit of molasses that speaks to quality in the underlying base Baltic. Light bitterness. The treatment here comes across as over the top on that butter rum thing. Give this base some time in amburana that held anejo cachaca, now that would be the shit.
