A typical dry, Irish stout with lots of roasted coffee and dark chocolate character. It sits light but keeps you warm on those long winter nights.

So this has been reformulated in the new brewery. Still dark brown of course but sweeter, fuller body, lots of chocolate. Still a decent dose of hop in the finish, and they’re still smart enough to do CO2 on it. But it’s closer to what Paramount Porter was and the added sweetness arguably makes it more “Irish”esque than it was before. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tomb Stout (-2021) on 18 Jul 2018 at 23:00 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Original review text: Medium brown, has a little chocolate and toast on the nose. Has a nice bitter chocolate taste. Good stout.

Decent enough malt sweetness on the nose, has modest black body with minimal foam. Flavour is semi-weak barley and coffee notes with some sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and refreshing nonetheless. It's an okay stout though hardly memorable.

On tap at Red Bird, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma bright out toasted malt, earthy notes, and some brine. Flavour is dry, with earthy notes, some brine and gently toasted malt. Light and lacking oomph. Kinda lame.

Roast, some dark chocolate. Pours black with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish with some grain. Tap at brewery.
