473mL can, pours a cloudy dull orange with a small white head. Nose has some oxidation, bready malt, and resinous hops – smells old. Flavour is hoppy, with plenty of resinous hops, bready malt, some oxidation, and toasted caramel. Not a deep body, somewhat flat. It’s alright.

473mL can. Some piney and resinous hops, a bit herbal, definitely a lot of oxidization going on in the nose here. Flavour has a similarly old, piney hop character, lots of burnt caramel hops, bready malts, plenty of oxidization. Pretty decent, but definitely not the best barley wine out there.

Tasting at Ryan's, can
Dark amber colour, the first pour is hazy, the following pour is murky. Smell of vegetables and dirt, lightly fruity. For a Barley Wine, the body is weaker than expected; some caramel, vegetables, alcohol.
Mediocre.

Poured from 473mL can. Lightly hazy amber with small light beige head (note: the lower quarter of the can gets cloudy if you're the last glass poured like me). Chewy bread malt, dried stone fruit, fair bit of hopping. Decent.

16oz (thx, Brian C.!) @ Ryan's. Appearance: almost clear (if you don't mess up with a can) copper with a tan head. Aroma: malty, some caramel and dark fruits, light berry sourness, hoppy. Taste: along the same lines, tons of hops, but it's not very bitter. Overall: pretty good, but nothing impressive.

Amber-brown, light haze until you get to the bottom and it's murky as all hell. Classic barley wine aroma with lots of malts, including some bready/toasty stuff. Hops are rich and piney. On the palate, same. Moderate alcohol for style. Lots of piney hops, with a slight orangey accent. Old school American barley wine here, with the rich chewy malts. But it never gets too chewy, and that's the balance I appreciate in this style.
