Can from S’s UK trip on a walk in HK. From the can. Aroma is syrupy sweet canned fruit with some bitter hops. Taste is weirdly juicy - like a fruit juice from concentrate with hoppy bitterness. Palate is also not that carbonated which lends to the odd juice impression. Not great.

330ml can. Pours hazy light gold with a large head. Aroma is peach and Fruit Salads. Taste has Fruit Salads throughout. Peach on the finish. Super drinkable.

Can at Oakfield Social Club (or whatever the place is called), Reading. 19/05/17. Floral aroma. Hazy amber. Thin white head. Sharp bitterness. Overly so for me. Medium bodied. Slick. An edge to the carbonation. Long dry finish. A bit OTT in terms of the bitter hit. Not balanced.

On tap at Vrteška. Pours hazy golden with medium white head. Fruity, moderate hoppiness, passion fruit, sweetish. Smooth. Dry and bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent, not quite the hop explosion I’ve expected.

Taste: fruity, very fruity, little sweet, malty touch, citrus, bitter grapefruit juice, some bubble gum, dank. Aftertaste: very bitter, more tropical fruits, some caramel malts, mango.

On tap at Vrte?ka. Misty orange-golden body. Soft hop-driven aroma, orange and tropical fruit. The taste continues along similar nice, tropical fruit and maltiness, okay bitterness. Nice overall. Rerate at Craft Room. So. Damn. Lovely. Fantastic fruitiness. Raising the score way up.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy golden with a nice lacy head. Nose - big orange, apple and apricot. Banana comes through more all the time. Taste - papaya and orange. Underripe mango. Bitter pithy finish. Palate - light bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - just inside the point where I would consider it too bitter. Good.

330ml can from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham. Pours hazy golden with a two-finger white head. Aroma is sweet, very tropical fruit juice, almost like squash, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, peach, maybe strawberry or raspberry too. Taste matches the aroma with those really juicy tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, grapefruit, orange, bready malt. Starts off quite sweet but the finish surprisingly has a decent bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. An interesting and easy drinking, refreshing IPA.
I’m not sure if they’re still around but this beer reminds me of Chewits (the Fruit Salad flavour ones) when I was a kid, or maybe Fruit-tella, it’s exactly like those chewy sweets but in beer form, lovely stuff!
