Gravity cask at the London Drinker BF 2014. Pours brown with a frothy tan head. Good snout with notes of dry cocoa and milk chocolate. Light sweet flavor with mild roasted malt character, further milk chocolate, slight earth, dried berries, chalky cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Balanced finish, more cocoa, roast, slight charcoal. Nicely balanced beer. Never gets too big for its britches.

Atholl Arms Hotel, Dunkeld [050513]
Very dark brown, ruby edges around glass, thin tan head, some lacing
Aroma of roasted malts, touch of dark chocolate, light aroma
Taste of roasted malts, dark bitter fruity chocolate, touch of Bournville, dark quite sweet malts, caramel, good flavour for the low abv
Palate - Medium body, quite oily, fairly smooth. Finish of soft roasted malts, dab of bitter plain chocolate with some dark sweet malts
Overall - Quite a decent low abv mild...it’s the best beer I’ve had from this brewery so far
