This blend of strong dark porters was aged in oak, wine and Bourbon barrels, then blended with a dark porter that had been brewed with vanilla beans and cinnamon. The blend was then aged an additional 14 months on dates

Tap at Borefts. Clear almost black with short lasting dark beige head. Lots of bourbon, sour red fruits, vanilla, light chocolate, dried red berries, red wine. Medium sweet and sour. Medium bodied. Unusual but good.

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2016 day 2. Near opaque dark brown, no real head. Big sweet syruppy roasted malts. Maple, toffee, balsamico, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla. Big sweet and moderate sour, light cocoa bitter. Over medium body, low carbonation. Complez sweet/sour/roasty/bitter finish. Very nice! --- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbonic Plague on 20 Dec 2017 at 10:31 - Score: 8. Original review text: 4.3

As great as I remember. So amazingly complex. Very tart, but filled with flavors. Fruity, toast, creamy, sweet. Masterpiece.

Wenig karbonisierter, dunkel malzig säuerlicher Antrunk. Dabei aber auch karamellig süß ähnlich einem flämischen Red. Vollmundig, im Hintergrund wächst die Säure an und wird scharf. Interessant. 9/10/11/11//12
