500 ml bottle. Almost clear dark golden with a fluffy head. Lots of grain and hay, straw, bread, vanilla, biscuits, citrus, metal. Dry bitterness, grainy sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry grainy bittersweet finish. A round and full bodied Helles, slightly sweeter and less bitter than their similar Acker-Bier which is brewed with different hops.

Juliusbräu Hell, Flasche im Café am Theater, Neuburg a.d. Donau. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase zart vanillesüßes helles Malz, Toffee und feine herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk rund getreidig-hellmalzig mit nicht zu knapper zitrusfruchtiger und herbaler Hopfung. Feine Malzsüße, Toffee (butterscotch), zarte Honignote, ein Hauch von Banane. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang milde Hopfenherbe. - Solides, sauber malziges und aromatisch gehopftes Helles. Beim Neuwirt konnte ich auch ein Fläschchen Die Ackeralm Helles erstehen, laut Bedienung das normale Helle unter anderer Bezeichnung. Im Geschmack war es sehr ähnlich, höchstens eine Spur sauberer als das Helle. (29.4.2022.)

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and firm medium-sized foamy head. Strawy pale malty aroma with a delicate touch of spicy hops. Mildly sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. Soft malty base, strawy and slightly draffy notes; sweet-bitter and delicately hoppy finish. On tap (@Neuwirt, Neuburg, Donau): Golden to deep golden, lazy, but visible carbonation, small, almost creamy head; fresh grainy nose with a certain "herbal" touch; very light bodied, light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour; light citrousy-fruity touch in the short and mild bitter-sweet finish. Clean stuff, not bad, but boring.....
