Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, caramel, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, spices, alcohol, and caramel sauce, leading to a dry finish. The alcohol warms the tongue.

Cask at Christian Firtal. Hazy pale copper with no head. Aroma of caramel and fruit, winegum, vanilla and alcohol. Sweet and alcoholic flavour with caramel and fruit and a touch of apple peel. Such a fantastic story, but in the end it just tastes like a 12% Greene King beer...

Cask at The Wharf, Aalborg, Denmark
Red-amber color with absolutely no head. Nice aroma, mild, with vinous notes, balsamic vinegar, caramel. Round body, a bit oily; good malt and caramel flavor, with moderate sweetness; the alcohol perception is well managed; correct bitterness, with an elegant nutty touch in the end, and some warmth; hints of Porto wine after the maltiness.
Subtle and nice.

Tap@ Christian 4-Tal, Odense. Pours ruby amber with no head. Dark sugars, bread, caramel, berries and boozy alcohol. It does have qualities for blending but on its own its way too much.

Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours clear amber with a faint, bubbly white head. Very boozy nose with hints of paint, caramel and ripe berries. Big sweet flavor - not surprisingly! - with toasty, sugars, lots of alcohol, suggestions of turpentine, dates and toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation - lightly syrupy. Hot finish with toast, earth, caramel, booze, ripe fruits. It’s a bit rough, but there is also plenty of rich, good character in here.

GBBF. This is surprise - a monster beer from one of my least favourite breweries! Hazy red-amber beer, few tan bubbles for a head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Sweetish dried fruits with a pinch of spice. Light notes of wood and caramel. The finish is a little gum numbing. An interesting experience and nice to have a Green King beer I like!

Cask@GBBF2012. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is ripe fruits, alcohol, some floral and toffeeish notes. Flavour is alcohol, glue, fruits and overly sweet. Aroma is still ok, but the flavour.... YUCK!
