2/6/2022. Cask at the 35th Colchester Real Ale & Cider Festival. Pours clear dark amber brown with a small bubbly/frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, sweet dark fruits, biscuit, plummy jam. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Nice fruity bitter finish with an ashy edge developing. Nicely done, best beer tried at the festival.
