Bottle from Jacks, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed at home, Thursday 20th September 2012 Hazy amber with a large frothy white head, grapefruity, but also a little malty with a slight note of ’rich tea’. Lemon and grapefruit, bit dry, there is very slight wateryness, however it is a very nice citrussy decent beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle from Tomlinsons Beer Shop
Dark golden amber, big frothy head, good lacing
Aroma of caramel malts, biscuit malts, soft citrus fruits, light spicy note
Taste - caramel malts, soft quite rich biscuit malts, tangy citrus fruits, grapefruit pith, touch of grassy hop, marmalade, hint of spicy hop, hint of black pepper, good flavour, fruity for a bitter
Palate - soft carb, medium body. Some bitterness with a light caramel malt sweetness. Well blanced. Finish as main flavour with a gentle linger of spicy citrus hop and biscuity malts
Overall - I thought this was a well-balanced tasty bitter - it’s how bitter should be made - it’s on a par with Buxton Bitter for me

Light haze on this amber beer. Tidy white head. Light dry palate. Mild mellow citrus hops. Fairly dry finish, vaguely woody. Okay but a bit dry and mellow.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. An amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, tropical fruit, citrus fruit. Quite different to any other beer that I have tried. Interesting stuff.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 22 July 2011) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Malty, slightly toasty nose with notes of apricots and orange. Malty taste with toast, apricots and orange. Decent bitterness in the finish. A slight touch of diacetyl? Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Decent, but I’m a bit unsure of the shape.
