Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, cola brown. Fine, dense, lasting, beige head. Nose has cocoa powder. Fruit and nut chocolate. Chocolate syrup. Brown sugar laden coffee. Taste is super sweet and syrupy, with some, but not enough, vinous bitterness. Light to medium body. Pretty smooth. Moderate, foamy carbonation. Settles out with more bitterness than the aroma suggests. Still massively sweet though.

Gravity cask at the Blue Boar as part of their North Riding TTO. Dark brown, pretty much black with a small ring of white head. As expected, there are notes of peanut, fresh cream and light lashings of coffee in the aroma. Tastes sweet with a delicate creamy sourness. I get lots of coffee, some milk chocolate, a touch of purple grape. Earthy hop bitterness balances the finish. Exemplary.
