Bottle shared at work. Jet black colour, thin head. Nose is earthy, roasted, dark chocolate. Tastewise it’s moderately sweet, there’s dark chocolate and cocoa powder, some earthy notes and a super faint boozy touch. Long sweetish finish, light to medium body, soft carbo. I thought it’d be sweeter and creamier.

Draft at Heist Craft, Clowne. Dark brown, slightly translucent with a tiny ring of beige head. Marshmallow, blackberry, coffee grounds all hit me in an enticing and confusing aroma. Sweet chocolatey taste fades to an unforgiving earthy hop bitterness for the finish. Body is on the thin side but it suits this beer. Exquisite.
