Gravity cask at the Brewery Tap. Dark, almost brassy gold, cloudy. A light smattering of off-white head. I'm gettinglight notes of caramel, sugar, stone fruit and tea from the subtle aroma. Taste is surprisingly bitter, it threatens to become too astringent but doesn't get there. Lots of malt, lots of hops, they've thrown a lot against the wall to see what sticks. And it works for me. A joyous introduction to a new brewery.
