Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Slightly reddish brown and clear with a small off-white head. Lovely nutty aroma, slightly smoky, some earthy notes. Bitter and incredibly astringent taste which kind of upends the overall package. Was expecting something a little bit sweeter but this works in its own way I suppose. Light pile body and soft carbonation. Okay.
