Cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Brownish gold and clear with a small to medium off-white head. Caramel notes with some tannic tea, mint, some sweet cooking spice. A surprisingly astringent taste, sweet and syrupy with a medicinal bitter finish. More tannins and bitter herbs in the aftertaste. Odd beer. It is well made but a bit too astringent for my liking.
