A delectably smooth mild, brewed with bags of caramel malt, and a touch of crystal.

Handpull cask at the Old Horse, Leicester. Golden brown and clear with a thin off-white head. Very light aroma, some dusting of chocolate malt but that is about it. Lovely taste though: sweet and malt-led with some Ovaltine followed by gently bitter hops in the finish. Some treacle and golden syrup in the aftertaste. Light body with soft carbonation. Not much to it but it's a mild innit so that's kind of the point. I enjoyed it.

Cask, gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Thursday 7th May 2015 Looks good but here is where things go awry afterwards. The nose is rather off putting with far too much sulphour, no body, too much caramel, not great at all, but at least it looked pretty good. A5 A4 T5 P3 Ov10 2.7
