330ml bottle from AP Harvey Wines, Earlston, lain down for a few months and drunk at home. Deep ruddy caramel brown, a little bit translucent with a ring of beige head. Deep boozy aroma, fruited caramel, lots of date. Taste is sweet, very boozy and date-forward (is that a word?) with a medicinal bitterness mid-sip to the long finish. That hitterness just sits in the back half of the tongue. Thick body with medium to heavy carbonation. Good stuff.
