330ml bottle purchased as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Very dark brown, almost black, opaque with a loose and quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma of dusty grains, some coffee, light yeast extract. Bittersweet taste, intense coffee, some souring dryness, more yeast extract, a bit of seawater. Bitter coffee and liquorice in the aftertaste. Intense.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 19 Nov 2023) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief head. Malty nose with chocolate, caramel and soft toasted oats. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, liquorice, dark bread and a mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Smooth and well balanced. Nice one.
