Röstiger Antrunk, milde Süße. Ein wenig herb und angenehm würzig im Mittelteil, zum Ende lässt das Ganze aber deutlich nach und wird laff. Ok. 11/10/9/8//9

Tap at the brewpub. It pours clear brown with a medium, fizzy beige head. The nose is toasty, sour malts, coffee grounds and brown bread. The taste is toasty, brown bread, coffee grinds, caramel, sour malts and earth with a dry, mildly acidic finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty basic stuff. Sour coffee is dominant flavour. Meh.

Drought at Zwolf Apostel brewpub. Dar amber with small beige foamy head, coffee aroma, fizzy, with surprisingly flat tasten one wonders what has happened to the coffee which has given the aroma! Abrupt and uninspiring finish. Tastes like a brewer’s training asssignment, very disappointing.

(draught at the brewpub) Hazy, chestnut colour with a short and slightly beige foamy head. Dusty and ashy, slightly toasty malty nose with grassy and herbal hops in the background. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Ashy malty taste with dusty notes and herbal hops; quite slim malty and delicately hoppy finish. 04.V.10

On tap. Cloudy and opaque orangey brown with a dense, off-white head leaving laces. Sweet, clean aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, sweet roasted malts, a little low in carbonation and perhaps a vague underlying tartness. Very discreet bitterness. Fresh and quenching alright. 160709
