(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 19 Nov 2023) Dark amber colour with no head. Malty nose with bread, toffee and nuts. Malty taste with notes of bread, toast, biscuits, caramal, toffee, nuts and a gentle earthy bitterness in the finish. Light body, dry. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Handpull cask at the Cock Tavern, Hackney. Golden brown and clear with a ring of white head. Light woody aroma with some caramel notes. Sweet taste with caramel and cola nut, deftly turning to a bitter finish. Very light body, zero carbonation. Has the feel of a second running and makes a good basic old-fashioned mild.
