Cask handpump at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford 22.06.12 Pours gold amber with a slim white head, looks great. Initially a little sweet and despite being a decent drop quite a departure from the very hoppy Acorn Newport IPA. Smooth easy drinking golden bitter. The bitterness is there but a tad too subtle for me. Pleasant beer but I would have liked something a bit brasher and more assertive. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov12 3.3

Cask at CBC, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a light head. Crack, corn and cereal nose. Medium sweet flavor, lightly syrupy, with light toasted grain. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mildly dry finish, some crisp corn, light grain, straw, and creamy dough. Not bad at all.

Cask at Craft Beer Co on 30th November 2011. Clear amber with very thin white film and no lacing. Clean, sweet malty, slightly woody aromas. Very fruity liquid with berries, soft fruit and biscuit maltiness. A lingering sweet finish ensues, with clean maltiness the main feature. Zingy, light carbonation. Enjoyable pint.
