Buckden Pale Ale was first brewed for the summer of 2010, a light sparkling ale, very quaffable in the sunshine, and in the rain, in fact perfectly good in the snow as well!

19/1/2019. Bottle from St. Ives Beer Festival shared at the 2nd Kesgrave 50/50. Pours clear golden with a large white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, grass and straw. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery and oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Sweet fruity, grassy finish - not bad, but spoilt a bit by level of carbonation.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London. Pours clear gold with a light, white foam head. Bready malt nose - white bread to be precise - with faint nips of lemon. Light sweet flavor with dried pale malts and mellow straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly dry to finish with more pale malts, white bread. Bland but OK.

Bottle 568ml. @ ChrisO Snow Tasting.Clear medium yellow amber colour with a small to average, open and frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, tea, cheese. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration, odd ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130120]

Bottle at Chriso Snow Tasting, thanks to Chris, 20/01/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin head. Nose is pale malt, pissy, light fruits - not a lot doing. Taste follows, bland, light fruit notes, boring nothingness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, some light bitterness in the finish. No thanks.
