Super hazy, chunky and very deep copper and bronze coloured body with a crazy looking, very fast-fading tan, light brown head that looks like soda, but shows odd bubbles on top - crazy! Aroma of soured, tart lactose, apricots, plums, bananas, strawberries, earth, alcohol, light grassy hops and bunches of alcohol - a very odd smell to go with the crazy appearance. Full-bodied; Super dense malt backbone with a bunch of soured fruits, most notably apricots, pears, apples, plums, bananas, oranges and strawberry, but the alcohol is here too, although nowhere close to 11 per cent! The lactose is pungent as you'd expect, as are the tart notes that end well. Aftertaste is deep, tart, fruity, funky, lactosey, full-of-body and showing some pungency, but more from fruity sweetness and tart notes than alcohol and astringency, which is a victory in itself at 11%! Overall, surprisingly nice considering everything involved, but I still don't know how these show up as IPAs at all - this is a deep fruit beer, period. Nice to sample and great if you like large fruit beers - strong without being too overwhelming - nice to try this one, too! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from K-1 Beer and Wine in Arlington, Virginia on 13-March-2021 for US$6,59, brewed on 31-December-2020, New Year's Eve, sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-June-2021.

On draught at the brewery during the South of Eleven 666 + Zipper Ripper - Beer Release Party on 12/28/2019. Slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a thin frothy white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of mango, herbal hops, vanilla and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of sweet-tart mango, vanilla, grainy malt and kiwi. The finish is tart with a mango and hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
