Bottle. A gift from Totnes. The person not the place. Medium amber brown. Soft haze. Good solid lacing off white foam. Nose has nutty malts. Granary bread crust. Hedgerow berries. Leafy soft herbal hop. Taste has a nutty sweetness getting nicely bitter and just a tad twangy. Good depth of flavour throughout. Bitter semi dry finish. Nice Browne.

Bottle picked up from the brewery and enjoyed in the Fat Lad's Arms, my own pub at the bottom of the garden. It was a long week and this started the Bank Holiday weekend. It would have been sooner, but a lunatic put in a 5pm meeting. Some people! The beer was to me a perfect bitter, a great balance of malt and bitter hops with a really low abv.
