33cl bottle from Office de Tourisme de Segonzac.
F: thin, tan, quick gone.
C: dark coppery, light hazy.
A: malty, nice red berries, caramel, cherries.
T: medium malty base, caramel, berries, red apples, leaves, bit bready, decent bitterness, soft carbonation, ok for the style, enjoyed.

Aroma 7. Appearance 4. Taste 4. Palate 2. Overall 11. Mid-roasted malt, caramel, some apple aroma. Light taste, malt, mid-sweet, mid-acid, but mainly water. Nothing unpleasant however.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lastinjg head. Amber colour. MOderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Not harmonic.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium amber colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white grey head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, moderate yeasty, tart, celery. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, spicy tart, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20130104]

Bottle @ Late Night Fonefan/Brugmansia Tasting, January 2013. Pours unclear amber with bubbles on top. Cabbage and extreme tartness. Syrup and sugar. Thin. Nasty

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours amber with a slight haze and a small off-white head. Odd celery aroma. Medium body, caramellish, tart, cinnamon accents. No real bitterness. Obviously has a lactic infection. 040113

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted and vegetable fruity. Spiced. Citric, cardemomme and ginger spiced flavoured. Bitter and dry cinnamon/cardemomme toasted malty finish.

Beautiful, really - this is what I want an amber to look like. Huge head, dark orange or red, and it’s just sitting there, staring at me, screaming "drink me.... drink me....". Nonetheless the aroma is coffee and burnt beans, murky barley, it’s all rather uninspiring. The taste is a nice mix of caramel, coffee, and barley, but a little watery. It’s an issue I’ve had with a lot of French microbrews - some good ideas but they are missing the finishing touch that moves a beer from good to great.

Bottle @ La Cervoiserie, La Rochelle (France). Original medieval style cartoonish label. amber color, white head. aroma is malty, nutty with some citrus hops, light chocolate and caramel. flavors, quite enjoyable, light chocolate malts, some spices and caramel along with a touch of hop bitterness/citrus. The finish keeps a nice malty profile coupled with a nutty mouthfeel and a mild citrus touch. Tasty, and above average for what is usually available in France.
