A GOOD HEAD IS ESSENTIAL.
Especially when it comes to stout. We use nitrogen bubbles to give our Ink Stout its thick, creamy head and smooth finish. And without getting all big headed, we think it’s the finest stout in the land. Loaded with roast and bitter dark chocolate, dark fruits, a rich and smooth body with linger dry finish.
Stout was born in london in the 18th century, but while the black stuff was made famous in ireland, it declined in popularity in the capital, until now. This changes everything and stout has never tasted so good.

Keg @ Munro’s. Pours very, very black with a thin, creamy head. Taste is coffee and dark chocolate. Ever so slightly watery, but very nice

Black (VERY black) beer eith a beige head and a chocolate malt aroma. The initial taste is actually every so slightly watery somehow but it really builds up. Rich, malty, chocolatey. A lovely stout and goes down very easy.

Tap @ Union Tavern near Westbourne Park, medium sample, served in a half pint glass. Pours a dark brown beer with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, bit molasses. Quite typical dry stout I would say, focusing mainly no dark roast. Slight blackcurrant fruity notes perhaps. Medium bitter in taste, not much sweetness. Bit one-dimensional, but ok. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ink Stout on 08 Sep 2017 at 13:07 - Score: 8. Original review text: Heel geroosterd, wat koffie, teer. Mooi bier

Keg @ Old Bridge Inn, Ripponden. Black with a creamy smooth off-white head. It’s crisp with a mix of nutty and chocolate malts in aroma and taste.

(Keg at Woolshed, 20140426) The beer poured black. Its head was small, dense and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, burnt malts and ash. Palate was surprisingly light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, ash, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A thin and burnt stout which didn’t please me.
