Cask at Hops, Crewe – at 6%. Pours a hazy golden brown with a medium sized frothy white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly floral hops, plus a hint of peanut butter. In the mouth it is quite bitter with floral hops to the fore alongside orange peel, and hints of citrus and tangerine. Later on some tropical fruits can be detected. The finish is dry and decidedly bitter, but with some underlying sweetness. This is an interesting beer – old fashioned IPA that is quite bitter but not excessively so. Very drinkable for its strength.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Deeper golden with a small head. Has a light tropical fruitiness certainly masking its strength, which was 6% on this occasion.

Rather good, fruity beer.
