6.1% version. Clear gold beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, light and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth light malts, a fairly sweet creamy sweetness. The crab apple provides a good counterpoint with a nice ciderish apple vibe, just mildly acidic. Light smooth finish. Nice apple beer, not overly saison herby. I recall missing this on a few occasions so nice to catch up with it some years later.

Bottle at The Anderson, Fortrose. It pours clear amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is earthy, funky, brett, dough, apple skin, sherbet, spice, hay, mild acidity, pear and white grape. The taste is crisp, bitter, big bretty funk, barnyard, apple, pear skin, dough, vinous, light alcohol, mild acidity, must, dank action and dirt with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Nice funky saison action. Has matured well.
