A murky dark brown beer, some half arsed tan bubbles have no chance of forming a head. Palate is light and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. A black Gose with a pretty rare Grappa barrel aged treatment. That is ticking loadsa boxes for me on paper. In practice... a savoury cola dominated fruity vibe entertains, gets fairly salty without ever getting plain salty. The Grappa barrel provides a good licorice aniseed backdrop and turbo charges some dark fruits that were hanging about in the background. Light and semi dry finish. In scant sub genre of dark hoses, this is the best I have had. Savoury in spades but rich, fruity and barrelley too boot.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is roasted, liquorice, toffee, funk, taste is similar, juicy fruit, salty.
