16 oz can from the brewery. Aroma shows a steady amount of pine cone and herbs. Flavor shows a strong pine cone / dank herb character. Body is medium with a soft pine bitterness. Pine cone dances all over this Black IPA. Thankful that it doesnβt show resin. Respectable.

Can from the brewery in a trade with CLW. Thanks, Chris. Drunk 9/1/25.
Dark. Can't determine clarity. Small, but solid, light tan head.
Cocoa dusted grapefruit with milk chocolate and biscuit alongside. Clean. Not overly malty but not is it dominated by dark malt. Good woody, spicy, citrusy hop sans resin.
Fairly malty with a strong woody, earthy, biscuity character. Milk chocolate and caramel easily outdo the mild citrus and very mild pine. Lots of caramel, pepper, milk chocolate lingering. Not nearly as hoppy in flavor as it is in the nose. Clean, though, with good attenuation and pretty good malt depth of the base malt.

On tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Virtually opaque, dark brown with thin creamy head with poor retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt with coffee and cocoa and pine bordering on cat piss. Taste is strong roasted malt, hints of cocoa and coffee, pine (bordering on cat piss). Frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering mild bitterness.
