Jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton. Jai Alai players attempt to catch a ball using a curved mitt whilst the ball travels at speeds up to 188 mph! Proving they have a sense of humor the Spanish dubbed this game, with its ball traveling at race car speeds, “the merry game.” Tampa was once home to a bustling Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. The India Pale Ale style of beer has its roots in the ales sent from England to thirsty British troops in India during the 18th century. Pair Jai Alai India Pale Ale with beef empanadas, deviled crabs and other spicy dishes.

Cloudy amber small beige head. Balanced nose. Fruity fore, light malt mid. Big long citrus hop bitterness , nicely balanced. Great lacing Very nice !!

0.355 l can from 'Beer Republic', canned in August 2023. Hazy, deep orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity and gently resiny aroma of orange, tangerine, mango and some pine. Quite sweet, malty, rather fruity and gently resiny taste of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango and some pine, followed by a short, quite bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Extremely well-balanced, creamy and saturating IPA.

Can. nose is is mango, caramel hint of peach, nectarine, citrus. Taste is pine, mango, hint of peach, lychee, hint of grapefruit, sweet caramel, leading to a pithy bitter bite in the finish. Really well balanced.

Pours a lightly hazed orange amber colour with a small frothy near white head. The aroma is fruity, grapefruit, lychee, orange peel and hoppy. A moderately sweet and moderately bitter taste, sweet malts, orange, grapefruit, lychee and caramel flavours with a hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Draught @ Fox & Hounds Sønderborg. Pours hazy amber with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of hops and touches of fruit. Intensely botter flavour of hops with touches of grass and sweetish notes of malt and yeast. Bitter aftertaste with estery and malty notes. Satiating, well-balanced, bitter, and tasty, like a spæendid IPA should ve. Good work, Cigar City!

Amber with a frothy to creamy head that lingers. Aroma a mix of orange peel, apples and caramel. Taste is bittersweet with with an emphasis on the bitter, finishes bitter with lingering resin. A rich, chewy body with plenty of caramel lingers underneath. Clean, fresh finish. Great balance. In terms of palate and taste, this is just about perfect. The aroma is also nice given this was canned last year. Would love to try it fresh.

12oz can. Bright golden orange color with a thick white head. Intense aroma of citrus fruit, grapefruit, sweet sticky hops. Solid hop flavors of pine and citrus. Sweet and heavy, but balanced bitterness. Textbook example of the classic IPA. Outstanding.
