Bottle pour from Harvest Market, Bedford (RIP). Appearance is very, very dark brown/garnet with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger width creamy light brown foam head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is moderately strong bourbon, chocolate and earthy roasted malt; vague cinnamon. Taste is strong bourbon, chili spice, over chocolate, earthy roasted malt and milder cinnamon. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, spicy chili heat, average carbonation, pleasant mild alcohol warmth and crisp finish as taste. Overall, taste is stronger than the aroma and has full profile in description. Would have liked the chocolate and malts from the base Baltic Porter to be a little higher in the flavor mix. Still, good.

Draught @ City Hops (12/27/19). Dark brown with ruby red highlights, large foamy tan head, mocha aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter mocha-dark chocolate taste, woodsy flavor, alcohol overtones, thin body, long finish with alcohol aftertaste. Quite boozy.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Dark molasses and bourbon aromas. Thick with dark hot chocolate, hot bourbon and charred dark espresso.
Sort of choclatey up front, a bit spicy on the back end. Nice.
