Bottled. Hazy deep amber colour with a small foamy white head, which still leaves some lace. Aroma is dried fruits, some spiciness, mild alcohol and some dates. Flavour is dates, digs, some toffee and mild spiciness to it as well as some sweet malts.

Sunday 2nd Feb 2020. Tasting glass from the brewery bar at the Brugge Beer Festival. Second beer of the day (after this brewers Blue label). Slight haze to the brown body, beige head. Malty molasses rule both the nose and taste with fairly sweet caramel fronting the aroma and flavour stakes. My sweet tooth liked it, but is a little one dimensional.

Dark murky brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of caramel malt notes. Smooth and easy to drink.

Donkerbruin bier met veel stevig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en licht kruidig met iets van anijs, honing en rozijnen. Fijn bier.

sample shared @ Bruges Beer Festival 2019 day 1. with 77ships, tderoeck and nathanvc. F: big, tan, long lasting. C: brown, hazy. A: a lot of cinnamon, apples, sweet syrupy, toffee, all together quite intensive. T: actually like extract from apples and cinnamon at least not so sweet as I expected from aroma, medium to full body and lower carbonation, enjoyable yet I am not sure if the rate belongs here.

Towering, very fine & dense light-tan head, quite stable over fully hazy red-brown beer. Brown candi sugar, molasses, woody, liquorice, mild roast, melanoidins, dry caramel, cardboard. Taste however, is dry, woody, again cardboard and dry caramel, melanoidins. Faint surrounding acidity, lactic acid I'd say. Medium bodied, quite slick to oily feel, and creamy texture from the amazingly stable head - but only medium carbonation. No mistakes, but in the end, pretty boring.

Cremiger herb getreidiger Beginn, insgesamt schwach. Geringe Würzigkeit, bitter, kurzer Abgang. Meh. 10/8/9/8//8

Opaque amber brown colour, small frothy beige head, dissipates to a lasting thin layer with yeast circles, fair lacing. Aroma toasted malts, red fruit, yeast, light treacle. Taste medium sweet, light bitter plus an acidic touch, malty, caramel, red fruits, spicy notes. Bit astringent sweetbitter aftertaste, woody notes, faint nutty notes, alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, at first not so well-balanced brew, lacks direction, yet tasty though, small sips advised, take your time taste evolution is slow.

Zythos 2018. Cloudy copper with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of plums and figs, toffee and biscuit. Sweet malty flavour with dried fruit.
