Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Very hazy gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, mildly sweet, not that much wheat character. Orangey hop, some pith and peel, trace of tangerine. Light floral bitterness. Light dry finish. Some decent flavours kicking about here but it’s a bit thin and dry.

Cask at the Castle Tap, Reading. A hazy amber pour with a ring of white head; lots of mango and melon aroma; and a tart melon taste well supported with a rye-like grainy body; followed by some grapefruit, and a crisp off-dry grape finish. Really refreshing.
