Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels
This 12 month barrel-aged version of our award-winning Expedition Stout thirsts for travel, but is perfectly content to sit in your cellar, maturing, until you are ready. The tough part? Deciding if you want to enjoy it now or wait until later. You can't go wrong either way.

On tap at Brus. Black with a small tan head. Really balanced with bourbon, light roasted malt, oak and some dark fruit. Smooth and nicely drinkable. Some warming alcohol in the finish.

Tap@BRUS, Copenhagen - black pour with good sized tan head. Rich sweet roasted malty, solid chocolate and caramel sweetness, some soy, resonating bourbon infused wooden notes, gorgeous stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle with many thanks to Scott. Pours a viscous black with a tan head and aromas of leather, dark chocolate, soy sauce, bourbon and awesomeness. Flavor is really heavy with bourbon, soy and an earthy/autumn leafy edge to it all. Mouthfeel is thick as molasses and the whole thing is yum!

Bottle from someone. I can’t remember. Anyway, 375 split two ways at fridge temp. Stupid thick oily pour. 2 finger espresso head. This aroma is ridiculous. Bells has taken an award winning imperial stout and done something remarkable. Smells like cold press coffee and fudge. Damn. This is a booze bomb but the bourbon absolutely comes through perfectly. It’s chalky and very smokey but there’s just layers of fudge and vanilla throughout the entire beer. Finish is dense and charcoal with cigar smoke. It’s intense but incredible. Thanks bells for keeping things real.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong bourbon, wood, dark chocolate, vanilla. Thick, chewy, similar flavors to nose, bourbon is strong but not overpowering, really enjoyed this.
