On tap at St. Augustine's, pours dark brown with a reddish hue. Roasty tones on the nose and flavour, with light coffee notes and medium balance of hops. Decent.

Dark brown. Cocoa, fudge, nuts in an appetizing, almost ale-like aroma. Smooth body has cocoa, nuts and a good splash of hop bitterness to balance it out, leading to a chocolatey espresso finish. Quality.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color beer with a huge foamy brown color head with pretty good retention. Aroma of roasted malt is detectable though not overpowering. Taste is a mix between roasted malt, coffee with a lingering smoke. Body has a creamy feel to it, which is quite enjoyable.
