At the Brew Pub. Note this batch has been in the barrel longer. Clear dark red - amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate is silky and slightly soft with mild fine carbonation, a nice palate! Soft and very mild dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Nicely rounded off by the barrel. Subtle vanilla. Nice tangy dark fruits, sweetish too. A little spice. A little bitter bubblegum ester and chocolate. Semi dry finish. Complex and very tasty - nicely done!

Cask at Tap East, London. Pours clear, red-brown with a sturdy, tan cream head. Semi-dark malt nose with hints of vanilla and sweet chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with nips of alcohol, dried fruits, faint caramel, rich bread, a bit of cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth in the finish, with sweet semi-dark malts, very light wood, pleasant semi-dark fruits, subtle dark bread and chocolate. Very nice barrel treatment - it definitely makes the base beer more interesting and complex. Great stuff.
