Draught @ King William IV, 816 High Road, Leyton, London, England E10 6AE. [ As my rating # 6000 of beers from England on ratebeer ]. Clear medium to dark yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, earthy, spruce, pine. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, green, IMO a bit unbalanced. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120803]

On tap at the Brewpub. Keg. Cloudy pale gold beer, little white head. Crisp palate, a little dry. Minerals. Lovely fruity hops. Fresh yellow grapefruit with a little orange and pith. Finishes crisp and dry. Another tasty Brodies pale ale.

Cask at King William IV, London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a fine, white foam head. Green grass in the nose, with straw and grapefruit rind. Light sweet flavor with medium bitterness, some lime, dry grass, straw, pale malts, grapefruit and dry orange. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly bitter to finish with light to medium sweetness, straw, dry grass, pine needles. Very solid APA.

Draft. A hazy pale golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of hops, straw, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, lemons, and hops, leading to a bitter finish.
