Tap at the brewery. Caramel red/brown coloured with small golden head. Aroma is hoppy, fruit, orange, bit of pine, some citrus and some kind of sweeter berry. Bit of grain too. Taste is hoppy bitterness, and fruity sweet, maybe strawberry, along with lemon and orange. Malty too, maybe a bit bread-like, but sweet bread. Finish is slowly diminishing hoppy bitterness and malt. Really nice.

Bottled (thanks Evin!). Amber/pale copper colour, mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some quite bitter wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, some caramelly and some sweet malty notes. Quite balanced and nice, but alternative for being a Kernel one.

Served fom a 330ml bottle into a tulip style glass (drank Apr ’12) this beer poured a ’slightly’ cloudy dark amber/brown with tints of red with a thick off-white head. A hoppy/fruity aroma greets the nose allied to a little pine and a pinch of malt. The taste matches the nose, throw in some citrus flavours, notably sweet orange/mandarin and a good dose of pine and you arrive at a most enjoyable IPA. Mouthfeel was good, medium to low carbonation and a bitter - dry but slightly sweet finish. Overall - another good quality IPA form Kernel.

0.33l bottle from beermerchants.com This is a deep cloudy - almost murky - amber-brown colored beer with a massive, lacing and lasting fluffy beige head. It's fantastic fruity and hoppy on the nose, also quite candy-like sweetness here. Citrus grapefruit and sweet malts. It's average carbonated, medium-bodied. Dry flavors - like in mouthdrying, good fruity bitterness all the way. Almost on the wedge of being stingy. Leaving a long lasting dry tongue. Yet another tasty one from the Kernel. 27.05.2012

18th March 2012
Very hazy brown - amber beer, big cream coloured head. The head has a nice sherbet hop orange - lemon, Centennial I would guess? Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Creamy malt. Bitter orange pith. Tangy orange marmalade. Strong green hops with zesty lemon underneath. Pretty bitter finish - the eyelids were starting to twitch - and it lingers. Minerals. A tangy hop treat.

The taste is pine, resin, oily hop, leaf, mandarin, tangerine, marmalade and hay, with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well balanced and flavoursome. Delicious!
