This is the first time that Kelham have brewed a rye beer and the resulting beer is one to be proud of! The rye adds a crispiness and dryness to this amber coloured ale. It has a grainy quality with a subtle spiciness!!

(Cask at Market Porter, Borough, London, 31 July) Colour is dark amber, almost mahogany, with small head. Nose is malty and nutty, with notes of dried fruit (apricots, prunes). Taste starts malty, then turns fruity with dried fruit (prunes) and canned peaches. Starts sweets but turns drier in the finish, with a slightly dusty hoppiness. Interesting and fairly ok.
