Dry hopped, and fermented with an aromatic Belgian yeast strain, Monk's Indiscretion has an intense tropical hoppy aroma and flavor, with balanced bitterness, and is scarily drinkable for such a strong beer.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a copper color with a thin white foamy head. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet Belgian yeastiness flowing over some floral and spicy notes. Light banana, some red delicious apple and then some allspice.
The flavor balanced between the spice, yeastiness and sweet notes. Crisp with a touch of the spice and yeast in the aftertaste. Dry sweet sort of apple to banana to yeast and spice finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and the ABV felt good as well for what it is.
Overall, nicely done Belgian strong ale that I could come back to.

Tap at DC Kanda. Lots of booze in the nose along with nutmeg, peppery yeast notes and citrus hops. Good carbonation with a slightly sweet and peppery mouthfeel. Finish is warming. Not a bad tripel.

Apricot and florals. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Sweet and sour finish. Good mix, easy drinking. My kind of blonde Belgian strong.

22oz bottle pours out a hazy orangeish topped with a sand head. Nose is belg yeast spice candy sugar and some hops. Taste is more of the belg yeast spice banana clove and some sweetness.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty orangey color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits with some unrefined grainy notes is not as I was expecting. Taste is also dominated by fruity tropical hops notes with some unrefined grainy notes and some light residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation with no real apparent alcohol. Not bad but something appeared to be a bit off with the malt bill.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
10oz
Amber color, clean, with small creamy head. The aroma is strong, fruity, with some peach, mango, oranges. Good body strength, round mouthfeel; the malt flavor is quite anonymous, moderately sweet, with a nice fruit touch and strong bitterness, ending with soft resins. Don’t expect a piney DIPA.
An American sweet interpretation of Belgian Ales with the hopping of a DIPA.
Good powerful and clean beer, but unemotional.
