12 April 2025. At ‘t Taphuys, Tilburg. Cheers to mom, dad & Anke!
Date, dried banana, syrup, sweet whisky. Sweet banana & date, milk chocolate, dark fudge. Earthy hops, dried fruits, warming whisky alcohol. Full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Delicious.

Donkerbruin tot zwart bier zonder schuim. Smaak is krachtig warm en zoet met duidelijk de whiskey, wat koffie, karamel, vanille en hout. IOets voor mij iets te "peated" om echt te genieten.

Tap at the Dutch bar bermondsey. £9 a third. Fuck it you only live once. An opaque black brown coloured pour with a halo of dark tan head. Aroma is salty roast, bourbon, raw oak, vanilla some islay notes, fruit cake, fruit and nut. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy roast, fruit and nut, sticky brown sugars, salty whisky, raw oak. Layered malts. Nice whisky character. Palate is semi sweet, sticky moderate carbonation. Lovely.

From tap at Jopenkerk, Haarlem. As "Ex-Girlfriend 2024 BA Whisky Barrels" Roasted malt with whiskey, some liquorice, hint of peat, alcohol, ash, toffee, chocolate. Some warming booze and sweetness, medium plus body. Nice!

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', bottled in August 2024. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, quickly diminishing, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, caramel, chocolate, raisins and whisky. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently roasty, quite smoky-medicinal and slightly fruity taste of caramel, molasses, chocolate, peat, iodine, raisins and whisky, followed by a long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Delicious brew, fairly complex and moreish. Maybe a little thin but overall a real pleasure.
